Boone Pickens

So T. Boone Pickens donated a SHITTON of money (165 MILLION) to oklahoma state university (their golf program) so he got to write it off as a charitable contribution on his taxes.... well turns out the money spent less than an hour on the charities accounts before the charity invested all of the money right back in a hedge fund that is controlled by Pickens... so basically he just invested more in his own hedge fund... got a tax write off and gets to charge the charity some fees for managing the money... it's FUCKING GENIUS!!!!! god i love capitalism... totally legal!

Dow ended up 30 points higher... and hit a 52 week high today!!! i love that... even though it was all wishy washy today... turned out beautiful... tech stocks were great...except google ahha fuckin' evil do'ers!!!

Bernanke

So i just watched bernanke and it was very interesting. He had some good things to say... although it was nothing out of the blue, nothing surprising. He was getting GRILLED by a few congressmen, and they were giving him some shit! He stood up for himself very well but seemed very tired and worn out at the end... i couldn't imagine ANYBODY i know to answer or understand half of the quesitons that he was asked... that doesn't say much for my circle of friends but it says a lot about how smart those fuckers are... very nice... market has been insane today... started down... with every word that Bernanke was speaking they were either going up or down... now they're hovering around the flat mark... who knows... other than that... Cody was supposed to be on closing bell tonight... but got cancelled apparently... i was excited for that... NOT excited for 6-8 night class tonight and then a shitton of work that i have to do before traveling tomorrow... weaksauce! i may be back later... if i can find some time to summarize the trading day... if not.. see you soon!

Doing Work

So i just discovered the power of YAHOO WIDGETS!!!! (Thanks bryce)... they are the SHIT... i'm actually posting to the blog from a widget and it's easy as fuck... i've been procrastinating for a LONG TIME now fucking around with these things and i do not want to do (start) the work that i have... Market was fun today and the DOW finally crossed 11G's... they're saying it's coming back down tho... what are you going to do you know? anyways i guess i'll start looking at this risk management shit since it's due tomorrow... i might even start some shit due on thursday because i'm on two jugs of coffee and coffee is like crack to me... so i'll be going for a while! have a good rest kids!
