Greek week is (finally) over... as much fun as it was i am glad that it's over and we can get back to normal life... the events were pretty fun and delt did alright... the two events that i was involved with went fairly ok as well.. our pyramid was by FAR the most badass one as we were the highest of all and looked TIGHT... our top guy stood up on top and busted out a tape measurer and dropped it to the ground... 13 feet!!! i was the only one that hit the rope when we crawled to the pyramid tho hahah so i kinda screwed up... but what are you gonna do?! then the next day rope pull was tight... zebe has it down to an art and it wasn't even a challenge... i coached our team and we ended up losing in the second round to SAE... AGAIN... it was a tight pull tho cuz we went to 5 overtimes and pulled for 16 minutes... which is INSANE... ended up losing and were really sad... but what are you going to do.. for not trying at all again this greek week we still got 7th... our you! ng guys are all pumped about next year... but then again... so were we! let's see how living with a phi psi will affect my involvement with delt after i graduate haha...

so earlier i had a discussion about things going down the shitter... both at our university and in our country... there are many things that could be building up but nobody seems to give a fuck... this is slightly upsetting but at the same time exciting because for those who know me i like chaos and revolution... So T. Boone Pickens donated a SHITTON of money (165 MILLION) to oklahoma state university (their golf program) so he got to write it off as a charitable contribution on his taxes.... well turns out the money spent less than an hour on the charities accounts before the charity invested all of the money right back in a hedge fund that is controlled by Pickens... so basically he just invested more in his own hedge fund... got a tax write off and gets to charge the charity some fees for managing the money... it's FUCKING GENIUS!!!!! god i love capitalism... totally legal!

So i just watched bernanke and it was very interesting. He had some good things to say... although it was nothing out of the blue, nothing surprising. He was getting GRILLED by a few congressmen, and they were giving him some shit! He stood up for himself very well but seemed very tired and worn out at the end... i couldn't imagine ANYBODY i know to answer or understand half of the quesitons that he was asked... that doesn't say much for my circle of friends but it says a lot about how smart those fuckers are... very nice... market has been insane today... started down... with every word that Bernanke was speaking they were either going up or down... now they're hovering around the flat mark... who knows... other than that... Cody was supposed to be on closing bell tonight... but got cancelled apparently... i was excited for that... FRIDAY'S RANDOMNESS:

The story of the champagne-spraying yuppie has been making the rounds of the news the last few days. A Monaco-based banker spent over $37,000 on champagnes at a private London club but instead of drinking it, he sprayed the contents of the bottles around the room. The jubilliant banker then had to pay nearly as much to clean up the mess. Decanter reports that the banker ordered 49 bottles and six magnums of Louis Roederer Cristal, 13 bottles and two magnums of Dom Pérignon as well as two bottles of Cristal Rosé. No one knows how much of the wine was actually drunk but judging by the cleaning bill it seems that more of it went on the walls than down the throat. A spokesperson for the newly-opened Mo*Vida club said that customers can do what they want as long as they are willing to pay for the damage.

traders are worried that there are more futures contracts out there on bonds than there are actual bonds... but CBOT is doing their best to fix that situation... dell reported after close that it missed estimates and revenue will fall short again... unless you are overweight on airline or retail stocks... it is likely you did well today tho...

Ameritrade is accused of delaying trades?!?! wtf ameritrade... in one instance it took them more than an hour to fill the trade costing the investor 26G's... come on ameritrade... it can't be that hard!

BIIB says their drug is dangerous a few months ago and their stock drops 50%... today they said "oh it's not dangerous and it should be coming back to market" and everybody says ahh who cares... doesn't really matter!?!?! i don't get it... oil inventories are higher in general but oil hits record levels again... totally normal right? nope.. not at all... market goes over 10,700 (up over 100) then drops into negative territory... then goes into positive... i'm about to go into engineering or something... or uhm... just work at mcd's because i have no clue what's happening anymore...

Alright… Tuesday… got some shit happening FOMC is talking… everybody’s thinking another 25 basis points to 3.50% but who knows… lil’ chris’ boys are insane so they might do whatever… they are probably going to keep the word measured within their statements…. So nothing is going to change really… let’s hope they don’t overdo it… crude is now trading above motherfucking $64/bbl.!!!! Thank Christ I dodn’t drive! Otherwise I’d have to sell plasma… the market shot the fuck up in the AM though… because of the second quarter productivity report which showed that pressures on inflation from compensation decreased… and traders were loving it up!

So that was a blast... Friday went out for laurens birthday which was a
blast... Went to fatfish and had crabcakes a la wedding crashers...
Lauren was slammed very early and had to cut her night short... We
decided to go out in her name and we hit west 6th hard... Saturday it
was out for mickie's birthday... Went to liquid fusion it was crazy...

long lost friend too so that was good... We went to some place that has

Cnooc is buying unocal corp which is exciting... Legg Mason and Citigroup announced a fat deal and LM gained 13 bucks on the news... All this HOOPLA for nottn'... today was a long day filled with lackluster trading... markets are mixed but not noticably... there was simply DICK going on today... no real economic reports... until near the end of the day (notice the drop in the charts) where new reports came out that social security legislation may start excluding private accounts.... then traders realized... WHO GIVES A FUCK... and focused on important shit (q2 earnings reports coming up) and there was a slight rally in the end... energy stocks got fucked a bit becuase traders locked in profits from recent rally and before tomorrows inventory reports....

eyo for yayo... today was a good day! well hold on let me check the close... ohhh... yup all in the green... well then... it really was an all around good day! Markets closed slightly higher (Dow was up 0.42%... Nasdaq was up 0.05%... S&P's were up 0.5%) so that's not too bad... The tone of the market was mostly positive... ALTHOUGH... crude fucking went through the roof!!! They are "One Hiccup away from $60!!!" But that didn't seem to scare the bulls away... The current account deficit (the broadest measure of international trade) rose to -195.1 Billion (up 3.6%) vs. estimates of -190 Billion... Consumer confidence rose to 94.8 vs estimated 88.5 which is very important! Also... ING did a survey of recent homebuyers and 73% of them do not see a bubble and are not worried about a downturn!! Then there's idiotic OHIO which lost 220 MILLION dollars in shady ass investments by shady ass people... found my new favorite magazine!!!! so that's pretty pimp... can't wait to get it! other than that... pretty quiet day... even though volume was sorta heavy on the markets...
